Family Christmas Party - Station 48

On December 4th, 2010, Felton Community Fire Company had their 3rd Annual Holiday Christmas Party for their members, employees, and their families. Every year between November 1st, and December 31, 2010, the fire company members collect non perishable foods for the Lake Forest Food Pantry. Entry to the party was a nonperishable item. The members also did a boot drive during turkey round up and collected donations. During the holiday party, the fire company had a 50/50 raffle and also a holiday gift table raffle. Between all these events, the fire company collected $950 which was also donated to the food pantry as well as over 500 pounds of food. Fun was had by all. Every member brought a dish to share and dessert was none other than our own homemade ice cream. Auxiliary member Jeannie Wood shared information about the food pantry and thanked the junior members for their help collecting turkeys and being successful with the boot drive. President Ken Ryder reflected on the year and the success we have had with all our new fund raisers. Chief Gary Moore also reflected on the improvements put in place within our department. Our special guest Santa Claus showed up to talk with all the children and gave each a small gift. After dinner was served, and the children said goodbye to Santa, DJ GR Myers entertained the fire company the rest of the evening. To all of our members, auxiliary, employees and most of all, their families, the officers at Felton Community Fire Company THANK YOU for all your hard work and dedication to the fire company and our community.
