Esther B. Bostick


FELTON – Esther B. Bostick of R.D. 1, Felton, died of a heart attack, Sunday, March 5, 1989, in Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford, at the age of 89.  She was a homemaker.

 

Mrs. Bostick was a member of Felton United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Avon Club of Felton.

 

Her husband, Charles W. Bostick, Sr., died in 1970.

 

She is survived by a son, Charles W. Bostick, Jr. of Felton two daughters, Jeannette Bostick Voshell of Camden, and Betty Bostick Dill of Felton; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

 

Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

 

Esther joined the Felton Community Fire Company Auxiliary in 1952 and continued serving to become a life member.  Her husband, Charles was a charter and life member of the FCFC. Her son, Charles ‘Charlie’ Jr. was a life and 50+ year member of the FCFC; daughter, Betty Bostick Dill and daughter-in-law, Doris Bostick are both life and 50+ year Auxiliary members.  Esther’s son-in-law, Martin Dill, was also a life and 50+ year member of the FCFC.  Esther’s granddaughter, Susie Bostick Shank and her husband, Steve Shank, are both Auxiliary members.
