Betty G. Glanden

FELTON- Betty G. Glanden, 88, of Felton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016.  Betty was born in Felton, Del., to the late Rix and Elsie (Hurd) Garey.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira 'Jr' Glanden in March of 2016.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Lee Furr, Garey and Lynn Glanden; sisters, Louise and Harry Fisher, Phyllis Hall; grandchildren, Tangey Rains, Kari Lynn Glanden, and Corinne Joy Glanden; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations in Betty's memory can be made to: Felton Fire Company, P.O. Box 946, Felton, DE 19943.

Betty was a past member of the Felton Community Fire Company Auxiliary.  Her parents, Rix and Elsie, brother, Rix, and sister, Anna Belle G. Brown, were all charter members of the FCFC.  Her sister, Thelma G. Myers was a past member of the Auxiliary and brother-in-law, Bill Myers was a life member of the FCFC.  Presently, her sister Louise G. Fisher is a life member of the Auxiliary.
