Clara Bradley
Mrs. Clara Bradley, 74, of Felton died Sunday at Kent General Hospital, Dover, after a long illness. She was born June 12, 1896 and died March 23, 1970.
Her husband, Clarence Bradley, died in 1965.
Mrs. Bradley was a lifelong resident of the Felton area. She was retired from Richardson & Robbins, meat packers, where she worked for 31 years.
She was a member of the Delaware Veterans of Foreign Wars; past president of the World War I Auxiliary, Delaware VFW; past president of the Clarence Vincent Post, VFW, Camden-Wyoming; past noble grand, Sarah Rebekah Lodge #16; and a member of the Women’s Benefit Association Lodge, Harrington, and the Dover and Harrington Senior Citizen Centers.
She is survived by a son, Ralph, of Felton; three sisters, Mrs. Orpha Taylor and Mrs. Blanche Allen, Felton, and Mrs. Bessie Ryan, Harrington.
Interment was at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
Clara was a charter member of the Felton Community Fire Company Auxiliary. She was our 5th president and past president of the Kent County Auxiliary Delaware Volunteer Firefighter’s Association. Her husband, Clarence Bradley, was a charter member of the FCFC. Additionally, her father-in-law, Charles Bradley, and brother-in-law, Ralph Bradley, were charter members of the FCFC.
