Mary Louise O'Day Kemp Biddle
FELTON -- Mary Louise O'Day Kemp Biddle passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017 at Milford Center.
She was born June 1, 1921 in Viola, the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie Martha (Williamson) O'Day.
Louise was retired from the State of Delaware and was the head teller at Felton Bank for more than 30 years. She was also an aid on the handicap bus, and she loved her 'special kids' on her bus. She loved to collect lamps.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey Kemp; and her second husband, Lester Biddle; siblings, Elmer O'Day, Roland "Thom" O'Day, Norman O'Day, Dorothy O'Day, Helen Thompson, and Lester O'Day."
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jay Gordy; grandsons, Wesley (Sally) Gordy and Wade (Joan) Gordy; and a nephew and several nieces.
Interment was in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
She was a Life and 50+ year member of the Felton Community Fire Company Auxiliary. Louise served as our 6th President and was one of the first ladies to obtain her 50 year status. Her brother, Roland “Tom” O’Day, was a Charter and Life member of the FCFC. Her sister-in-law, Dorothy O’Day was a member and our 10th President of the Auxiliary. Her grandson, Wesley Gordy is currently a member of the FCFC.
