W. Hammond

Dale graduated from Felton High School in 1959. He started his fire fighting career by joining the FCFC on October 5, 1966. He was a mortgage loan officer for Wilmington Savings Fund Society and the Bank of Fruitland for a total of 38 years. He later retired from Kent County where he worked for 8 years as the Mobile Home Administrator in the Division of Inspection and Enforcement. He became a life member of FCFC after 25 years of service in October of 1991. One of his sons, Duane is presently a member of our company. He was a very active member of the FCFC, FUMC and other community organizations.
