T. S. Smith's Customer Appreciation Day - Bridgeville, DE

ON THE ROAD AGAIN….our Ice Cream Concession Trailer journeyed south to Bridgeville to join in the celebration of the 1st Annual Customer Appreciation Day sponsored by T.S. Smith & Sons. We arrived and were set up by 10:00 am to start selling our peach ice cream that was prepared using peaches from their farm orchards. Our serving crew consisted of auxiliary members Pauline Nichols, Kate Krippein, and also a volunteer for community service Taylor Paskey. Company members were Bill Stubbs, Ken Ryder and also Dave Wood who brought us an additional supply later in the day. The best seller for this outing was peach of course nothing else was even close. During the day there was food available including roasted corn on the cob, a variety of Sandwiches, horse and wagon rides, 4 different bands featuring 4 different styles of music for the crowds enjoyment. The bands played their music for an hour each until 4pm. The weather co-operated, although may times threatening, it held off the deluge until 4pm when Charlie Smith’s Band finished up the afternoon of festivities.
