Cindy Kemp

FELTON - Cynthia "Cindy" Jean Kemp passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at BayHealth in Dover, Delaware.  Cindy was born August 3, 1944 in Milford, Delaware to the late Lester Kersey, Jr. and Florence (Dill) Kersey.

She retired from Milford Memorial Hospital where she worked in the Occupational Health Unit and she was also employed at Townsend's as Transportation Clerk.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Kemp; son-in-law, Donald Deputy; and John and Sally Johnson.

She survived by her daughters, Cynthia Battin (Eric), Robin Deputy, and Kimberly Lodge (William); grandchildren, Jordan, Courtney, Lauren, Hunter, Magdalene and Ryan; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 217 Main Street, Felton, Delaware, where friends called after 11 a.m. Interment was held at Sharon Hills Cemetery, Dover, Delaware.

Cindy joined the FCFC Auxiliary in1992 and was an active life member until her passing.  In 1993 Cindy was nominated as the Financial Secretary and served in that position until her death.  In addition she served on many committees.  Her daughter, Robin, is a life member of the auxiliary and is currently the Treasurer.  Her son-in-law Donald Deputy was a life member of the FCFC. Her grandson, Ryan Deputy and grandson-in-law Greg Schulties are both members of the FCFC.
